On iPhone Android Outlook Gmail
Setup your email
iPhone Setup
- Open the settings on the Home screen.
- Tap on Apps.
- Tap on Mail.
- Tap Add account (Mail accounts).
- Tap on Other.
- Tap on Add mail account.
Enter the following information:
| Name | Your display name (You can enter any name.) |
| The full email address. | |
| Password | The password John sent you. |
| Description | For your own reference. |
- Tap on Next.
- Select IMAP.
Enter the incoming server details below:
| Hostname | imap.ionos.co.uk |
| Username | The full email address. |
| Password | The password you were sent by John |
Enter the outgoing server settings below:
| Hostname | smtp.ionos.co.uk |
| Username | The full email address. |
| Password | The password you were sent by John |
- Tap on Next.
- The email account is automatically set up with SSL encryption.
- The account is now added.
Android Setup
Launch the Gmail app.
Tap the icon with the three horizontal lines in the upper left corner.
Tap Settings.
Tap Add account.
Tap Other
Enter your e-mail address.
Tap Next.
Select – IMAP account

| Port | 465 |
| Require login | Checkbox |
| Username | The full email address of your IONOS email account. |
| Password | The password you assigned when you set up the IONOS email address. |
Enter your password in the Password field.
Tap Next.
Enter imap.ionos.co.uk in the Server field.
Tap Next.
In the SMTP server field, enter smtp.ionos.co.uk.
Tap Next.
Optional: Select the account options you want and click Next.
Optional: Change the account name or the name that appears in the sent messages.
Outlook Setup
Open Microsoft Outlook.
Click File > Info > + Add account.
Enter the email address.
Click Advanced options.
Check the Let me set up my account manually option.
Click Connect.
Select the IMAP account type.
- Enter the incoming mail server: imap.ionos.co.uk. Enter port 993 in the Port field and select SSL/TLS in the Encryption method list.
In the Outgoing mail section, enter the outgoing mail server smtp.ionos.co.uk. Then, enter port 465 in the Port field and select SSL/TLS in the Encryption method list.
Click Next.
Enter the password you assigned when you set up the email address.
Click Done.
